Like many of you my o d light started flashing and i was getting.
We also manufacture our own version of every oem radio or cd player to exact factory specs.
If it overheats it may no longer be able to operate according to spec causing the 4wd light to flash.
I have a 2003 mazda tribute it s a ford escape with mazda badge and my power locks dome light radio dash board lights etc were out.
Ford then installs these radio or cd players in your explorer at the factory assembly line.

Went to auto shop and picked up a mini 10 amp fuse after reading this forum.
It has the 5r55w automatic transmission in it.
I ve only had the truck since february of this year and have never used the four low or high settings.
Additional info from explorer owners i drive an 2002 explorer with 168 000 miles.
It was a multi system electrical failure of the power windows power door locks radio and climate control system.
